below is a begginers trials progression chart


Trials Progression chart

 

 

For any questions about words or any thing just go to http://www.biketrials.com/how-to/index.shtml  and please do not try anything out side of your skill level… you can not skip levels you must go in order…

 

Level 1-----

-         track stand for 1 minute

-         endo with out mishap

-         rock from endo to back wheel without mishap

 

Level 2-----

            -track stand for 2 and ½ minutes

            -rock from endo to back wheel and do 2 back hops

            -ride out fakie on a slope just rolling out of it

            -pedal kick bunny hop up a 15 inch rise

            -j-hop up a 15 inch rise

 

Level 3-----

            -rock from endo 5 back hops

            -pedal kick bunny hop up a 8 inch rise

            -j hop up an 25 inch rise

            -side hop 25 inch rise

           

Level 4-----

            -get in to japslap(back wheel) with pedal kick, stay for 8 seconds

            -pedal kick bunny hop up 30 inch rise

            - j hop up 30 inch rise

            - side hop about 12 inches

            -manual for a good 10 feet

 

Level 5-----

            -get in to japslap(back wheel)with pedal kick, then do 2 pedal kick lurches

            -pedal kick up 35 inch rise

            -j hop 32 inch rise

            -side hop about 12 inches up, in to a jap slap

            -manual for a good 20 feet

 

Level 6-----

            -get in to japslap , do 5 pedal kick lurches, with at least 1 foot gaps in between

            -side hop 18 inches up, in to japslap and lurch out of it

            -side hop to a pedal stall hold for 4 seconds and get out of it

            -pivot using front wheel and back wheel down and up 10 inch rise

            -manual for a good 25 feet

           

Level 7-----

            -5 lurches with 2 foot gaps

            -side hop20 inch rise in to japslap, using front wheel pivoting pivot out of it

            -use pivoting to get up a wide 3 set and also to get down

            -bash guard up a small ledge

            -manual for 30 feet

 

Level 8-----the final level of the trials progressionchart

            -more than 5 lurches with controlled gapping 

            -side hope 26 inch rise to front wheel japslap to rear wheel japslap pivot out of it

            -use pivoting to get up any stair case more than 4 steps

            -manual for more than 35 feet

 

now when you reach level 8 this does not mean you are perfect you still have to work hard and practice until smooth, but if you make it to level 8 you will be well on your way to becoming a trials god…
